Charles F. Fisher, 90, beloved husband of Pearl, nee Somolowitz, for 70 wonderful years; loving father of Dr. Larry (Sheila) Fisher, Ilene (Dr. Martin) Siglin, David (Ruth) Fisher and Dr. Jerrold (Joanne) Fisher; cherished Papa of Aviva (Pinchas) Rosenberg, Erron (Mollie) Fisher, Devora Fisher, Moria (Russell) Bittman, Ian Fisher, Melissa (Daniel) Merkin, Scott (Jodi) Siglin, Jeff Siglin, Benjamin, Daniel, Noah and Ethan Fisher; adored great Papa of Jonah, Eli, Liam, Dora, Oren, Kara, Ryan, Aden, Joshua and Blake; caring brother of Jule (the late Norman) Grotberg, the late Irving Fisher and the late Marion (Jerry) Shapiro; dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Sunday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. November 17th, 2017

One of my very first memories was Uncle Chuck lifting my up and spinning around
the living room…What a trip for a 3 year old ?? I felt his love and compassion than
and whenever we would meet over the next 60 + years it never was less than huge
respect and true interest in my life…and how I was doing …where and how I was dealing
with whatever I was working on. Chucks voice on the phone was as loving and strong
as when in person…Pearl and Chuck would call on my Birthdays ( I think that’s how I
knew I was getting older )…anyway I will miss you but never forget you….I would say you
were like and father to me ( but we know you had your hands full with that ) , you were
alway a GREAT friend and a very wise man . Having Pearl and Chuck in my life have made it a MUCH, richer life…and given me a great appreciation of family .
